What is StreetSafe?

StreetSafe is a one-of-a-kind mobile personal security service, designed to give you personalized safety advice and support any time, day or night. StreetSafe combines wireless networks with GPS technologies and a state-of-the-art safety network and database.

 

How do I subscribe to StreetSafe?

You will need to register for the service and choose a plan, create a profile and install the StreetSafe app on your phone.

 

What happens if I am in a crisis and trigger the silent alarm using the StreetSafe app?

StreetSafe will immediately contact 911 for your local area and will provide your location and personal profile information. No other action is required from you.

 

How do I pay for the service?

When you register for StreetSafe, you will be presented the available subscription and payment options.  You can be billed automatically on a recurring basis in accordance with your subscription (monthly, quarterly or annually) until you unsubscribe.

 

If I move to a different location, will my StreetSafe still work?

StreetSafe is entirely mobile and available anywhere in the United States provided that you have cellular service.

 

If I get a new phone, can I transfer StreetSafe?

Yes, as long as your new mobile phone is supported by StreetSafe. Simply download the StreetSafe app for your new phone.  Launch the app and follow the one time activation instructions. During re-activation, your existing account will be associated with your new phone.

 

If I change my cell phone number, can I transfer StreetSafe?

Yes. Simply update your on-line profile with the new cell phone number before using StreetSafe.

 

Do you maintain personal information about me to use in case of an emergency?

Yes. As a subscriber, you will create a personal profile so we have the best information to help you in a crisis, including your photo, physical description, contact information, known health or safety issues, and emergency contact information of family and friends.

 

Who has access to my personal information contained in my profile?

Your personal information is maintained in a highly secure database. We do not sell, disseminate or otherwise exploit your personal information. We only use your personal information to respond to an alarm triggered on your phone.

 

Does StreetSafe record its communications? Who has access to those recordings?

StreetSafe records all communications, both with its subscribers and with 911 centers. Recordings are never shared with anyone except (i) if we decide it is necessary to assist in your rescue or (ii) pursuant to court order.

 

Can my parents track me with the StreetSafe app?

No. Tracking information is only shared with the Police and your designated emergency contact, if you activate the silent alarm or request us to call.
